Most people do not think about the many different types of salt that you can buy in bulk from a wholesaler, but if you work in the industry then you know that there are many different types to choose from like coarse rock salt that you can put in your aquarium, pool, or cellar; bamboo salt that rejuvenates the body when put in a bath; and cooking Kosher Dead Sea salt that is good for cooking, pickling fish, making taffy, making glazes, and flavoring popcorn with butter. If you work for a salt wholesaler, then you will need to learn about all of these different types so that you can be sure you give your clients the types of salt that they need. The first category that most of us think of is table salt that is used for cooking. This includes natural fine crystals and Kosher Dead Sea. You can use these to flavor food. If you sell this kind, you might also want to carry an assortment of spreaders and shakers that you customers can buy from you. The second kind of salt most people think of is the coarse kind that is used to melt ice on the winter roads. This kind might be black or white depending on the source. Another kind is the type that people put in their baths for a relaxing evening. One of the more popular types is bamboo salt. Once you have familiarized yourself with all of these different types, you can give your customers the bulk orders they need.
