Some community and private golf courses require memberships to play games on them, but public gold courses are open to anyone, not just members, who wants to play a few games. When you contact the public golf courses, ask them how long their facilities have been open. You will want facilities with well made greens and driving ranges so that you can enjoy your game; those with several years of experience often have the best greens. If you are taking retreats, then ask the gold courses if they have resorts near by where you can stay. If the retreats involve several people, then you will need to make sure that the public golf courses have all of the equipment, clubs, and rental equipment that your people might need, as well as apparel for purchase and caddies that you can hire. Some people feel like walking from hole to hole is a big part of golf sports, but you should have the option of rental carts too, so find out if they have the carts that you need to make your recreational game more enjoyable. If you are interested in signing up with a local golf team or club, then ask the facilities if they have any information about teams in the area that you might join. This can be a great way to improve your skills. While you want to balls, accessories, and equipment rental and greens that are best, you should also think about price. Ask them about greens and rentals fees so that you can choose a course that fits your budget.
