Consider what type of event you are planning, such as a wedding, corporate reception, social gathering, luxury event, or cocktail party. Decide how many guests you want and ask to see rooms of the appropriate size, from large, luxurious ballrooms to small, intimate garden scenes. Ballrooms usually feature seating for many people, with enough space for serving areas, buffets, dance floor, decorations, bands, DJ booth, and cocktail areas. Some even feature outdoor garden scenes, private reception areas, special rooms, luxury amenities, and hotel rooms. Before booking with a facility, be sure to get a contract in writing, outlining costs, rules and guidelines. Do some research beforehand on each ballroom. Is it a locally-owned establishment or part of a large national parent company? Decide whether you want your event held at a ballroom that features hotel accommodations, or whether a stand-alone facility is just fine. Inquire if the ballroom has a website you can check out for additional information. If so, you may be able to take a virtual tour, price out a menu, read customer testimonials, and come up with your special dream celebration, whether you’re hosting a wedding, corporate reception, bridal or baby shower, business parties, or luxury events. When choosing the right ballroom for you, research each company’s reputation in the business, making sure the company offers the services you need at a price you can afford.
